The COVID-19 pandemic is the spread of a highly infectious disease caused by a new coronavirus called SARS-CoV-2. It has spread across the world, infecting over 486 million people. Over 6 million people have died. But the COVID-19 pandemic became a crisis because of the failure of the economic and political system in which live. It’s a system that puts profit before people, business before health and leaves hundreds of millions of people in poverty and hunger. Even when the pandemic is over, the crisis will continue.
